    PICASSO EXHIBIT IN SAN FRANCISCO

Picasso, you have left your mark-

painting imagination’s metaphors

with such brute force,

breaking all the rules

like an earth giant, smashing

tradition and stale concept.

You crafted with the cunning

of a bestial sophisticate,

the paintings the world so admires,

exhibiting a ruthless artistry

with your boldness.

You led like an extravagant giant

with your experiments, sublime.

Did you enjoy this strength,

this brute force?

Did it ever annihilate you

to be so strong,

so brilliant, so brute a force?

Both poet, Carolyn Mary Kleefeld, and matching artist, Adel Gorgy,
do Picasso proud in this ekphrastic harmony. Simply magnificent!
